The WDM PON Forum Group is an interest group of services providers, equipment suppliers, component vendors and analysts to work towards a common goal of providing WDM technology based broadband access networks to:

- drive optical access  and FTTx market development

- support all existing and upcoming broadband service offerings and the ever increasing bandwidth demand

- push multiplexing in the wavelength domain rather than in the time domain (technology independent)

- support open access approaches

- increase market visibility and awareness of WDM PON in the market
